How much does an appraisal cost?

Nothing. All appraisals at Park Avenue Numismatics are 100% free, regardless of whether you decide to sell. You walk in, we evaluate what you have, you walk out with a written professional valuation. There is no fee, no commission, and no obligation.

Will I be pressured to sell?

Never. We’ve been doing this for nearly 40 years on word-of-mouth referrals from collectors and families across South Florida — high-pressure tactics would end that immediately. We’ll value your collection, explain the offer, and you decide. Most clients take time to think it over, and that’s perfectly fine.

What kinds of coins, gold, and silver do you buy?

Yes — absolutely. Appraisals take place in a private office at our 5084 Biscayne Blvd location. Your name, your collection, and any transaction details are kept completely confidential. We never share information with third parties, and we never publicly attribute purchased pieces to a seller.

How is my collection valued?

Coin by coin. We grade each piece (or accept existing PCGS / NGC grades), then price it against the current wholesale market for that grade, with premiums applied for rarity, eye appeal, condition rarity, and active demand. For bullion, pricing is tied to live spot with a fair, transparent buy spread. We’ll show you the math.

How do you pay?

Same-day payment, your choice of format: company check, bank wire (typically same-day or next-business-day in your account), or for smaller transactions, cash. For larger collections we’ll work with your bank, attorney, or financial advisor to make sure the funds are received in the format that works best for you.

Do you make house calls or only see clients at the Miami office?

Both. For most appraisals we recommend the Miami office because it’s private, secure, and we have every reference tool on hand. For larger collections or for clients who can’t travel, we can arrange a private appointment at your home, attorney’s office, or bank — anywhere in Miami-Dade and often beyond.

I inherited a collection and don’t know what any of it is. Can you still help?

Absolutely — that’s one of the most common appraisals we do. Bring everything as-is. We’ll go through each piece, explain what it is, what condition it’s in, and what it’s worth.
